Personal Object composition

This. Is. Me. The above composition of my personal belongings reflects upon who I am. “Looking for Alaska”, was the first novel which caught me off guard. It taught me how to read emotions and gain a deeper perspective on life. Even the book cover has been an inspiration for me in so many ways. Definitely one of my favourite cover designs. For me, roses are overrated, so i killed it! Jokes apart, this rose was given to me almost two years ago, which i preserved. It is now a symbol of time. The flower, even though withered and old, is simply beautiful. As someone who loves to paint, i find it funny that i usually use brushes that are either too thin or too thick, mostly just the two of these. I’m a big believer of using pencils and erasers, so the mechanical pencil beside the brushes does majorly all the work for me. Music is an escape from chaos, hence the earphones. Lastly, one of the most important and personal items is the music CD labeled Bryan Adams. It is something I hold very close to my heart and is a remembrance of someone I lost. The very silent and grounded composition overall represents me in so many ways. The colour palette is warm. Reds and blues and white, with a hint of yellow, just fits perfectly for me somehow. Black is timeless. It is bold but not loud. Keeping the background black helped me stay focused on the aesthetic of the other objects being photographed and put them under spotlight, without any distractions.
